Evangelism
And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.

At Ascension, worship leads us outward: after Communion, we pray to be sent into the world to serve. Our parishioners live that call as advocates, leaders, healers, and peacemakers in the community.
The Evangelism Committee helps plant seeds of faith through outreach, learning, and welcome. For example, our parish began delivering water to the community of Sandbranch, a nearby town without access to clean water. What started with one parish has grown into a 14-vehicle caravan joined by other churches—an effort that fills both body and spirit.
We also host speaker series on faith, ethics, and social issues, drawing voices from across traditions. From exploring calls to ministry, to interfaith conversations on racism, to thoughtful discussions on politics and responsibility, these events inspire and challenge us to live our faith in daily life.
Beyond study and service, we create space for fellowship—movie nights for families, podcast discussions over coffee, and more. Many who joined as guests have since become part of our community.
Every Sunday, our greeters, ushers, and volunteers ensure that everyone is welcomed warmly, whether a first-time visitor or a lifelong member.
