Adult Formation
“An intelligent heart acquires knowledge, and the ear of the wise seeks knowledge.”
Proverbs 18:15

Formation isn’t just for children—our adults grow in faith through Scripture, study, fellowship, and prayer. Ascension offers a variety of opportunities on Sundays and throughout the week.

Sunday Formation
-
Men’s Bible Fellowship: A long-standing group that combines book study, faith conversation, and parish service—from tending the barbecue to welcoming guests.
-
Encounter the Bible: Men and women gather for in-depth study of Scripture, often with the help of scholarly commentaries.
-
Parents’ Social Hub: A new space for parents of children (birth through college) to connect, share experiences, and support one another in faith and family life.
Seasonal Offerings
During Advent and Lent, we host speaker series on Wednesday evenings, paired with supper provided by our Radical Hospitality Committee.

Weekday Studies
-
Wednesday Bible Study: A noon gathering focused on Scripture or upcoming lectionary readings, led by clergy or rotating members.
-
Disciple Bible Study: Offered as interest arises, with evening sessions using the Disciple curriculum and group-led discussions.
Retreats
Both men’s and women’s retreats provide time away for fellowship, teaching, and spiritual renewal—whether at Camp All Saints or closer to home.
