CHILDREN | 9:15 A.M. ON SUNDAYS
Childcare is available for children under 3.
Early Childhood | Pre-K - 2nd Grade or 3-8 Years
Godly Play | Godly Play Room (formerly The Parlor)

Built around sacred stories and wondering, we use the Godly Play and the Following Jesus curriculum to encourage openness, discovery, community, and relationships. Both of these curricula are rooted in a Montessori educational philosophy. They offer our youngest worshipers a hands-on approach to understanding the Bible and our faith. Following Jesus brings in more New Testament stories, while Godly Play emphasizes the Old Testament.
Weaving God's Promises | Older Childhood: 3rd–6th Grade or 9-12 yrs old | Common Area outside the Priest’s Office

The 3rd through 6th-grade class uses Weaving God’s Promises, a curriculum that helps kids explore the Bible and God’s Promises. The curriculum incorporates discussion, games, hands-on activities, and crafts to make Bible study fun and interactive. The 3rd through 6th grade also completes service projects such as helping the Youth prepare Blessing Bags for the homeless.

Ascension Youth Group – Come Be a Part of Something Bigger!

Starting Sunday, September 14th, Ascension’s Youth Group is back. This fall, we're diving into a new year of real talk, genuine faith, and real impact. Through Project Bible and Jesus Calling, we explore how God’s Word connects to your world.
We're about action, too. Each month, we roll up our sleeves and team up to make a difference. Whether it’s putting together Blessing Bags for the homeless, helping out with the little ones in Godly Play, building furniture, or pulling off fun holiday events, we show up and serve. And we have a blast doing it.

We also make space for fun and friendship—think bowling nights, ropes courses, and plenty of laughs along the way. Many of our teens also step up to lead in worship and help in Children’s Chapel, discovering how to live out their faith in powerful ways.
This isn’t just a youth group. It’s a community where you’ll grow, serve, and be seen.
Want to join us? Have questions? Email Alice at Alice.Frederick@ascensiondallas.org for all the details!

9:15 a.m. | Conference Room
This fall, our Adult Formation group will study the Minor Prophets of the Old Testament, focusing on one prophet per week. The primary text will be the Bible, and leaders will also draw from resources provided by The Bible Project, including short videos and supporting materials.

Men's Group Book Study
When Everything's on Fire
Sundays this Fall beginning 9/07
9:15 a.m. | Youth & Outreach Center
Men ages 18 and up are invited to join our Men's Group this fall as they read and discuss Brian Zahnd's When Everything's on Fire: Faith Forged from the Ashes. The book advocates for a renovation of faith rather than a demolition of it. It encourages us to hope rather than despair in a volatile world that can often seem at odds with the principles of Christianity.
Interested men can join on Sundays at 9:15 a.m. in the Youth & Outreach Center.
