As we enter the holy season of Advent, we invite you to slow down, gather, and prepare your hearts with us at Ascension. Our Adult Formation series will offer meaningful conversation and reflection as we journey toward the mystery of Christmas. Join us for the beauty of Lessons & Carols, a cherished Episcopal tradition that draws us deeper into the story of God’s hope. Families and kids of all ages are welcome at our festive Cookie Decorating gathering—an opportunity to pause, play, and savor the joy of community. On Christmas Eve, we’ll celebrate the birth of Christ with candlelit worship filled with music, wonder, and welcome. And on Christmas Day, we gather again in quiet thanksgiving for the light that breaks into the world. Wherever you find yourself this season, we hope you’ll join us for these offerings that help us watch, wait, and rejoice together.

ADVENT SUNDAYS

8:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Worship

Throughout the four Sundays of Advent—November 30th, December 7th, December 14th, and December 21st—we gather at 8:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. for the quiet beauty and expectancy of Episcopal worship in this sacred season. Each Sunday invites us deeper into the themes of hope, peace, joy, and love as we light the candles of the Advent wreath, hear the ancient prophecies, and prepare our hearts for the coming of Christ. Whether you prefer the stillness of early morning or the fuller celebration of our later service, these weeks offer a meaningful way to wait, watch, and enter the mystery of God with us. Children's Chapel is available at the 10:30 a.m. services.

FEAST OF THE HOLY NAME
Sunday, December 28th | 10:30 a.m.

On the Feast of the Holy Name, we gather to honor the moment eight days after Jesus’ birth when, in accordance with Jewish tradition, he was circumcised and given the name foretold by the angel—Jesus, meaning “God saves.” This feast invites us to reflect on the tenderness of Christ’s early life and the profound truth that God entered fully into our humanity, sharing our customs, our vulnerability, and our beginnings. As we celebrate the Holy Name, we remember that in Jesus, God’s saving love is made personal, intimate, and near. Join us as we give thanks for the name that brings hope, healing, and new life to the world.

EPIPHANY
Sunday, January 4th | 10:30 a.m.

On the Feast of the Epiphany, we celebrate the shining moment when Christ’s light is revealed to the whole world. Marked by the visit of the Magi, Epiphany reminds us that God’s love is not limited to one people or place, but reaches across borders, cultures, and generations. The star that guided the wise men still guides us today—inviting us to seek, to wonder, and to follow the light of Christ wherever it leads. As we bless our homes, hear the story of the Magi, and step into this new season of revelation, we remember that Epiphany calls each of us to reflect God’s light in our lives. Join us as we celebrate the God who is made known in unexpected places and welcomes all into the radiance of divine love.
