We have a new Director of Christian Formation!

"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” - Jeremiah 29:11

I’m excited to share that Ascension has called a new Director of Christian Formation! There were several applicants I interviewed, along with our Senior Warden Ashley Rector and Formation Committee Chair Joan Romanosky. After a few weeks of discernment, we are thrilled to report Eva Barraza has accepted the offer and will start this Sunday, August 28th. Eva will primarily focus on our Children and Youth Ministries and will also be involved in assisting with parish events, particularly those in which families are part of the target audience. This marks an important step in the next chapter of children and youth ministry here at Ascension. Eva has extensive experience with children and youth, especially in camp settings. In addition, her past work experience includes a focus on collaboration with others that will help her thrive in ministry. I trust that you will all help extend our welcome to her, introducing yourselves in the coming weeks. If you’d like to connect with Eva by email, her church email address is, and her phone extension will be available soon. As our program year begins, I’m excited about what the next chapter will look like in our shared ministry at Ascension. Eva will be instrumental in our formation offerings. Blessings,
