Episcopal Church of the Ascension welcomes you...

We are a diverse community of faith that gathers to worship God.  Our worship includes reading and reflecting on scripture, singing hymns and celebrating the sacraments of the church.  We endeavor to learn together, about faith, about God and about one another.  We serve together in a variety of ministries that include school partnerships, feeding ministries, advocacy and much more.  We hope that you'll join us as we seek to restore unity with God and one another.

PRAYER PARTNERS

All in the Family Hands.png

Prayer Partners is an extension of the Baptismal Promises we make to our children and a connection between generations. The goal for this new program is to create a cadre of caring adults who will commit to praying for every child/youth in our congregation by name throughout the year. Emphasis is placed on supportive prayer rather than interpersonal contact. For more details and answers to questions you may have about Prayer Partners, click here.

Please consider being a partner in this ministry by submitting the form below. You will receive the name of your prayer partner by mid-October. Please email Sarah Klitzke for any questions.

BE A PEN PAL TO A STULTS ELEMENTARY 4TH GRADER:

Our 4th year in the Stults Pen Pal program is starting with an invitation to sign up for this fun and rewarding program with the 4th graders at Stults Elementary. Your commitment will be four letters written in response to your pen pal’s letters over the course of the school year ending with a Meet & Greet party in May.  Because there are approximately 100 fourth graders, it may be necessary to assign two students to those of you willing to do this. Please consider signing up for a second Pen Pal and indicate this when you sign up. You can sign up HERE or on the sheet in the narthex. Look for more details in the next few weeks.  I hope all who volunteered last year will do so again this year and spread the word to others you think might enjoy this rewarding program.

The Summer heat keeps us from thinking too much about Fall, but it is around the corner, and in Texas, Fall gardening is some of our most fun and prolific! It looks like we will have 2 plots available, so I thought this might be a good time to go over our process. Click here to read more "Garden News" and to access the Application and Agreement.
