ADVENT FORMATION FOR ALL AGES

CHILDREN | 9:15 AM ON SUNDAYS

Godly Play | Early Childhood: Pre-K–2nd Grade or 4-8 yrs old | Room 105 
Built around sacred stories and wondering, Godly Play encourages openness, discovery, community, and relationships. Rooted in Montessori educational philosophy, it offers our younger worshipers a hands-on approach to understanding the Bible and our faith. Some stories are told during one week, while others are told across several weeks.

Celebrate Wonder | Older Childhood: 3rd–5th Grade or 9-11 yrs old | Paula Tucker Memorial Chapel
Celebrate Wonder offers activities, experiences, spiritual practices, and reflection to appeal to a child's sense of wonder to help them build a rich spiritual life. By embracing and celebrating children, Celebrate Wonder is designed to help children grow and develop with a sense of spiritual awareness and tools to express that faith.
Childcare available for children under 3.

Abide | Youth and Outreach Center | Room 202

"Abide!" – a revamped Youth Group experience with a fresh perspective. This year's Abide program is centered around three key pillars: fellowship, service, and a comprehensive exploration of foundational biblical principles. Don't miss the opportunity to engage in the enriching journey through the Foundations in Bible Basics curriculum with us. by a team of caring adults, we strive to be an affirming space where the big questions can be asked and examined together. We are always looking for people to donate snacks and games for Sunday evening. Following is an easy way to contribute through our WISH LIST.  Please contact Eva Barraza if you'd like to help out by providing dinner for the youth one night.

Adult Formation | The Angels of Christmas | Office Conference Room

All adults are invited to join us for our Advent formation class starting next Sunday, November 26, at 9:15 a.m. We'll be reading and discussing The Angels of Christmas, a four week study explores the four angelic visits surrounding the birth of Jesus with Zechariah, Mary, Joseph, and the shepherds. In this study, the reader will explore the visits and dive deep into the history of the angel Gabriel–and other angels–in the Old Testament. . Each session is followed by a thought-provoking page of questions that allow for a deeper experience of the scriptural passages. Click HERE to order the book.Join us to unpack this insightful book. Men's Book Group | Youth and Outreach Center 
All men are invited to join our book study Youth and Outreach Center. We will be reading Gregory Boyd’s The Myth of a Christian Nation   - How the Quest for Political Power is Destroying the Church, available through Amazon and Kindle. This book discusses Greg's view of the need for relief and hope that the church can return to the business of being the church.  The church is to have a political voice, but we are to have it the way Jesus had it: by manifesting an alternative to the political, “power over,” way of doing life. Noon formation on Wednesdays will continue as the lectionary study that we are currently offering.   It is a hybrid offering.  Zoom and meeting in-person in the conference room.
