What drew you to consider Vestry leadership at this time? 

Becoming a member of the Vestry is very important during this time of uncertainty and multiple challenges. It is critical that we support our diversity, grow our spiritual and outreach ministries, and address post-pandemic participation.


In addition to your professional expertise, what unique gifts, talents, and experience would you bring to the Vestry? 

I have the ability to ask questions, summarize issues, and help develop support for solutions. I'm a team player; have a good understanding of ECA’s history, am patient, and am a good listener.  I have experience in strategic planning. marketing / presentations, finance, not-for-profit governance, and for-profit business structures. 


What do you hope for Ascension over the next 3-5 years? 

I'd love to see Ascension grow with our community in diversity, support outreach ministries, have financial stability. 


If selected for this role, what activities, ministries, or areas of parish life would you like to be involved in?

Vestry members are church leaders, participating in multiple ministries is important as is being available to help identify and participate in areas of most need. My interest would include supporting youth programs, outreach, and veteran ministries.  


How has Ascension continued to form and inspire your faith? 

Faith is very personal.  Inspiration for growing one’s faith comes from our church community, worship services, and internal and external programs.  I am grateful for being a part of the ECA family which has opened many opportunities for me to participate and grow in faith.
