Youth Sunday School
September 11, 2011 through May 20, 2012
Ascension's Youth Sunday school program is divided into two groups, each designed to develop youth into disciples of Christ.
Rite-13 (6th and 7th grade)
Rite-13 is the first step in the youth program at Ascension. 6th and 7th graders get together each week for fun, learning, and friendship. Rite-13 is the name for the first two years of the Journey to Adulthood program. The Rite-13 class will learn about God and themselves through fun, games, storytelling and discussion.
J2A / Seekers - With Pilgrimage Prep(9th-12th grade)
This year the J2A and Seekers Classes will be combined as all high school youth will be studying and preparing (both materially and spiritually) to go on pilgrimage in the summer of 2012. This pilgrimage journey, in which our pilgrims will learn something of themselves and of God, will be a lifelong memory. On the second Sunday of the month the class has SSS - Second Sundays at Starbucks. They meet around the corner from Ascension, on Abrams north of Royal at 9:00am.
