Children's Sunday School at Ascension
September 11, 2011 through May 20, 2012
Note the new class divisions this year!
During the 2011-2012 Sunday School year, will continue to use the Weaving God’s Promises curriculum. This curriculum, designed specifically for the Episcopal Church, provides children with basic knowledge of Church teachings in the three elements essential to the practice of our faith: Christian education, worship, and service. To build this foundation, Weaving God’s Promises focuses on three areas of content: Holy Scripture, The Church, and Christian Living. Because all of our children’s Sunday School classes will use the Weaving God’s Promises curriculum, all children explore the same stories and components of faith on the same Sundays. But though following the same broad outline, the different classes are very different. Bible stories are told in age-appropriate ways and the activities and discussions that go with each story will be tailored by the teachers for each specific age group.
