Ascension Adult Choir

The Ascension Adult Choir is a group of volunteer singers who love to sing and are willing to learn! They rehearse in the Nave each week on Wednesday evenings from 7:15pm until 8:30pm. They help to provide worship leadership at the10:15am service and for other services as determined throughout the year. The choir sings a wide variety of great choral music ranging from ancient plainchant to classic masterpieces to modern works and commissioned anthems.

Ascension Children’s Choir

The Children’s Choir is a multifaceted opportunity for the musical education and Christian formation of Girls and Boys (with unchanged voices) grades 1- 6. They rehearse during the academic year. The children gather beginning at 3:45pm for a time of recreation with Mr. Mark (generally on the playground) and then rehearse from 4:15 until 5:15pm. This group usually sings in worship once each month, and participate occasionally in other festival services.

Mission

The mission of the Choirs at Ascension is to glorify God through transcendent worship, to help people perceive the love of God in the beauty of Holiness, and to support the Christian transformation of Choir members through the choral experience.
