EYC (Episcopal Youth Community)

The junior or senior high youth (and their friends, and their acquaintances, and youth in the cybersphere who might stumble across this page) meet at the Episcopal Church of the Ascension, Dallas. Every Sunday morning we meet for Sunday School and every other Sunday evening we meet for youth group. We aim to be a group who live life together, worship and think together and have a blast with games, lock-ins, retreats, and service together.

At Ascension we are up for being your friend whoever you are, whatever school you go to, whoever you have a crush on, whatever color your skin is, and whatever makes you tick. Most of us are generally fond of Jesus and this whole church thing (but not in a creepy way). Also we like to do fun stuff, serve the poor and people who suffer, work to help make the world more like what God has in mind, and use the brains God gave us to ask questions about life and what’s important.

Every other week, the Rite-13, J2A, and Seekers groups (for more on these groups, see the Youth Sunday School page), gather together on Sunday afternoons for EYC. Occassionally, there are special Episcopal Youth (EYC) activities like retreats, service projects, etc.
