EYC (Episcopal Youth Community)
The junior and senior high youth of the Episcopal Church of the Ascension, Dallas meet every Sunday morning for Sunday School and also regularly for youth groups. We aim to be a group who live life together, worship and think together and have a blast with games, lock-ins, retreats, and service together.
At Ascension we are up for being your friend whoever you are, whatever school you go to, whoever you have a crush on, whatever color your skin is, and whatever makes you tick. We're fond of Jesus and this whole church thing and we also like to do fun stuff together, serve the poor and people who suffer, and use the brains God gave us to ask questions about life and what’s important.
Jr. High: 6th-9th Grade Youth Group
On the 1st and 3rd Sundays, the Jr. High (6th-9th graders) gather together for youth group from 6:00-7:30pm in the youth house. We eat dinner, play games and do a Bible study or devotion. It's a pretty traditional time of youth ministry- lots of fun and great discussions with a tight knit group who love each other. Friends and new folks are always welcome and encouraged!
High School: 10th-12 Grade Youth Groups
Separate boys and girls groups will meet regularly this year to dive into deeper authentic and lasting relationships with one another. We know we weren't created to do life alone and need each other for encouragement and friendship as we strive to be like Jesus. These groups meet on Wednesdays evenings. Please contact the youth minister to join a group!
