During the 31 days of July, you are invited to pray the 31 morning and evening prayers contained in John Baillie's short book, A Diary of Private Prayer, along with your brothers and sisters in Christ at Ascension. These brief, beautiful prayers powerfully capture the ways we move in and out of God's will in our lives, encourage us to tread the path of Christ our Savior, and nurture a sense of Christ's presence in our lives. The prayers are designed to ignite your own prayers and reflections, as the generic words of Baillie intersect with the paricularities of your individual life.
Our goal is to have more than 100 people of Ascension "Pray Each Day" during the month of July. Young and old, newcomers and oldtimers, everyone is invited to take part. All you need is the book and the 31 days of July. And though you could do this by yourself and never tell anyone about it, please sign up and let us know you are taking part. Not only do we have to count you to reach our goal, but signing up will help us to pray for you as you take this journey and to make sure you have the opportunity to join in the related opportunities described below.
