African Night Celebration

Once a year, Ascension celebrates a special evening of worship and feasting in the African tradition!
Members of Ascension and associated communities with African roots or African identity lead worship with energetic music,

in a variety of languages, making for a rich spiritual offering to God. At our most recent African night, the preacher was the Rev'd John Kalimi, and our own Father Daniel celebrated the Eucharist using the Kenyen Eucharistic Prayer (in English).

 

Following the service of worship in the nave, we move to the parish hall for an evening of feasting, celebration, and fun for all!
