Stults
Road Elementary School
Recently (2006) Stults Road Elementary was honored
with the Richardson School District "Silver Cup
Award". The award is given to the school with
the most impactive community involvement program.
Attached is the letter of Dabney Dwyer, explaining
the award:
Dear Stults Leadership,
Some of you may be aware
now that Stults elementary won the Silver Cup Award
for Community On-Campus. This award is given to the
school that best encourages volunteers and business
partners to participate by enhancing the academic,
social and cultural experience of students. This is
the most prestigious award that a school can get in
RISD! Mr. Spiller wrote the proposal about Ascensions
involvement and I was honored to be asked to attend
the awards ceremony last night. At that time we did
know that Stults had won. Stults had stiff competition
including Lake Highlands and Pierce High School!!!
But they did it!!!
I want you all to know
that this has truly been a team effort. It is because
of the Stults leadership and all of the people that
have been involved along with a great Principal and
staff and Stults that made this happen. What an honor
and we are blessed to be a part of this wonderful
effort.
Take care and again, thank
you for all that you do to make Stults an exceptional
school.
Blessings,
Dabney
