Rally Day 2008

Rally Day is Ascension's once a year event to introduce members to the entire plethora of ministries, activities and events within the church.

Browsing through the various displays and tables gives a strong representation of all that Ascension is, does and strives to be.

As you would expect from an Anglican tradition, liturgy is important, and there are many opportunities to assist in the worship and music areas.

Also important are areas of Christian Formation, that is Sunday School for all ages as well as special class topics and bible studies.

Ascension Outbound is our very active service within the greater community, including English as a Second language classes, Feeding the homeless at Austin Street Shelter, The Elaine Kadane food pantry, Assisting at Stults Road Elementary School and much more.

Evangelism seeks to share the light of Jesus with those outside our community with those interested in hearing, while Pastoral Care looks to care for those within our community in spiritual need.

Grouped together are Plant, Property and Equipment, Administration and Stewardship, all vital ministry areas that support and sustain the more visible ministries of the congregation.
