"why this is a fantastic ministry": Once a year in the fall, Ascension partners with the City of Dallas, People Helping People project by helping refurbish homes for individuals and families. What
it involves: Opportunities: Assist during the workday (typically during the fall months) including; scraping, painting, landscaping, etc. Provide meals and drinks for the workers. Volunteer to bring supplies such as gloves, ladders, brushes, towels, scrappers, etc. Make a potted plant, fruit basket or meal for the homeowner. Assist supervising other
volunteers such as teens who need service hours.
