"why this is a fantastic ministry": Food Pantry has been providing food to the community for over 25 years.

What it involves: The food pantry at Ascension provides bagged non-perishable goods to needy families every first and third Tuesday of the month. Hours are from 9:30-11:00 am.

This ministry is named after Elaine Kadane in honor of the woman who inspired parishioners to take action and establish the pantry.

Opportunities:

Work on pantry days- Register recipients, fill food bags or hand out food bags
Purchase or donate food (basic bag items and specific items needed during holidays). Cash donations are always appreciated.
Help stock shelves in the pantry.
Assist with filling food bags during the holidays.
Provide coffee and donuts to recipients several times per year.

Training Provided: Some training/orientation necessary
