The answer is "Four one-week sessions of affordable day camp, with a daily chapel experience that encourages participants to select from a daily list of classes and activities; all in a safe church environment!"

Now, what was the question? In these tough economic times, what could we offer to families in our parish and the diocese that would support their children and provide a non-competitive, caring environment in which children can explore and enjoy a balance of creative and performing arts, chapel, enrichment activities and leisure activities as a part of a small, inclusive summer community. And did we mention it is affordable and will have the option of extended care?

Our approach to the summer camp experience will be that we are a non-traditional camp geared toward bright and creative children. Campers create their own schedules, choosing from a wide variety of activities. At Ascension Summer Adventures we are committed to offering the highest quality program, staff and facility. We welcome all children to join us and celebrate being who they are.

Camp will be located on the beautiful campus of Ascension Episcopal Church in Dallas, Texas, our classrooms surround an idyllic courtyard planted with beautiful shrubs and flowering trees. In addition, we have a large, light-filled multi-purpose room and two beautiful and shady playgrounds so that children will experience both indoor and outdoor environments every day.

Ascension Summer Adventures has been developed for children who are six years old (and have completed first grade) through fourteen years old. Our program is elective and has a variety of creative activities, technology and enrichment.

Camp tuition includes all trip days and snacks. Each camper is expected to bring a healthy lunch and a water bottle each day. Each camper is welcome to bring breakfast if utilizing early drop-off time.
